Kyle Christiansen is an architect with 4 decades of design and consulting experience. He has spent his career as a steward of the built environment and an advocate for restoration, renovation, community development, and design. He has consulted with owners on the condition of facilities in 49 states and 6 countries. He has experience consulting on nearly all sectors of building types in various environmental conditions. His industry leadership includes committee participation with multiple industry groups, speaking engagements at multiple facility related conferences, expert testimony in 10 states, published author in multiple industry journals, and executive leadership at multiple engineering, environmental, and building science companies. Recently he has worked in capital and asset planning for portfolios of commercial, institutional, transportation, secondary education, k-12 schools, and hospitals. He writes a bi-monthly newsletter, Facility Condition Insights, that highlights changes and influences in the built environment. Currently, he is leading an ASTM committee to establish an industry standard by which facility condition assessments can be conducted.
